Extraordinary Meeting, Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee - Thursday 16 October 2025 10.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met to consider a call-in request regarding the Cabinet's decision to approve the freehold transfer of the St Stephens Multi-Storey Car Park in Trowbridge to the owner of the adjoining Castle Place Shopping Centre. Councillors who requested the call-in argued that the Cabinet's decision did not adhere to the council's principles of decision-making. The committee decided to refer the decision back to the Cabinet for reconsideration.

Electoral Review Committee - Wednesday 15 October 2025 2.00 pm

The Electoral Review Committee met to discuss the upcoming Community Governance Review (CGR) for 2025/26 and decided to focus on the area board areas of Royal Wootton Bassett, Devizes, and Marlborough. The committee also delegated authority to the Director of Legal and Governance to finalise the terms of reference for the review, in consultation with the Chair and Vice-Chair.

Wiltshire Pension Fund Committee - Thursday 9 October 2025 10.00 am

The Wiltshire Pension Fund Committee met on 9 October 2025 to discuss the triennial valuation of the fund, a new conflicts of interest policy, and a new breach policy, among other items. Representatives from Barnett Waddingham were expected to present the initial results of the 2025 triennial valuation for the Committee's review. The committee was also scheduled to review the forward work plan for the committee.

Councillors discussed topics such as the plan's key performance indicators (KPIs), its consultation process, and how it would address issues such as climate change and inequality. The committee agreed to refer their suggestions to the cabinet for consideration.

Standards Committee - Thursday 2 October 2025 10.30 am

The Standards Committee met to discuss the status of code of conduct complaints, the annual complaints performance, the whistleblowing policy, and a review of the constitution. They also directed the Constitution Focus Group to prioritise Part 6 and Protocol 3 for review.
