About
The Standards Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct for elected and co-opted members and officers of Wiltshire Council. It advises the Council on its code of conduct, assists members in observing it, and arranges training. The committee grants dispensations for interests, oversees the handling of misconduct complaints against councillors across Wiltshire, and reviews the whistleblowing policy and corporate complaints. It also oversees the Council's constitution and the implementation of Ombudsman recommendations.
