Transformation and Assurance Board - Monday, 12th May, 2025 3.00 p.m.

The Transformation and Assurance Board (TAB) met to discuss member and officer relations, the political culture within the council, and to review their workplan. The board agreed to continue working with councillors and other stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of acceptable behaviour, with an update due at the September 2025 meeting. The board also discussed commissioning academic work on the political culture of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, but deferred making a decision.

Shortlisting for the Post of Strategic Director of Change and Improvement, Appointments Sub Committee - Monday, 28th April, 2025 5.00 p.m.

The Tower Hamlets Appointments Sub Committee met on Monday 28 April 2025 to agree on a shortlist of candidates to interview for the post of Strategic Director of Change and Improvement. After a discussion, the sub-committee agreed on a number of candidates to invite for an interview.

Transformation and Assurance Board - Monday, 14th April, 2025 3.30 p.m.

The Transformation and Assurance Board (TAB) convened to address the Ministerial Directions issued in January 2025, focusing on a Continuous Improvement Plan, a Cultural Change Programme, and a Political Mentoring Programme. The board approved all three programmes, and also agreed to updated terms of reference. The board noted that the Continuous Improvement Plan would be reported to the full council in July, alongside the council’s first report to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Shortlisting for the Post of Director of Housing Neighbourhoods and Customer Services, Appointments Sub Committee - Tuesday, 4th March, 2025 4.00 p.m.

The Appointments Sub-Committee met to decide which candidates to shortlist for interview for the role of Director of Housing Neighbourhoods and Customer Services. The meeting decided which candidates should be invited for interview, but the names of the candidates were not made public.
