The Cabinet decided to approve the acceptance of two grants from Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council for Derbyshire's Heartwood Community Forest. The decision was made on 15/10/2026. The council will accept a £0.198m Revenue Delivery Grant and a £2.562m Capital Delivery Grant.

Authority was delegated to the Executive Director for Place to proceed with preparation up to the Gateway 1 Assessment, including scoping consultation and evidence gathering.

The Cabinet of Derbyshire Council decided on 15/10/2026 to approve the procurement of six highway maintenance workstreams with a maximum contract value of £40.0m. Authority was delegated to the Executive Director – Place to award contracts and progress delivery.

The Cabinet Member for Communities and Safety decided on 23/09/2026 to approve the award of grant funding of up to £0.346m from the Crisis and Resilience Fund to Marches Energy Advice. This funding is for administering energy relief crisis payments and pre-payment vouchers for vulnerable Derbyshire residents.
