The Growth, Economic Development and Communities Cabinet Committee met to discuss a range of issues, including the extension of a management contract for the Old Rectory Business Centre, the Get Kent & Medway Working Plan, and the Integrated Work and Health Strategy for Kent and Medway. Councillor Paul Thomas was elected as chair, and Councillor James Dufresne as vice-chair of the committee. The committee voted to extend the Old Rectory Business Centre management contract, and also endorsed both the Get Kent and Medway Working Plan and the Integrated Work and Health Strategy for Kent and Medway.

The Personnel Committee - Member Appointment Panel of Kent Council met on Friday, June 6, 2025, to discuss the appointment of a Corporate Director of Finance. The meeting was scheduled to include a briefing and interviews for the position. Much of the meeting was expected to be closed to the press and public.

The Personnel Committee - Member Appointment Panel of Kent Council met on Tuesday 3 June 2025, to hold interviews for the position of Corporate Director of Finance. The meeting was also scheduled to deal with standard business at the start of the meeting. It was then scheduled to move into a closed session to conduct the interviews.

Annual Meeting, County Council - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 10.00 am

At the annual meeting of Kent County Council, Councillor Richard Palmer was elected as the new Chairman, and Councillor Peter Evans was elected as Vice-Chairman. Councillor Lyndon Kemkaran was elected as the Leader of the Council, and Councillor Antony Hook was appointed Leader of the Opposition.
