At a meeting of the Hertfordshire Local Government Pension Scheme Local Pension Board, Councillor Liz Needham was welcomed as a new board member, and Jolyon Adam was elected chair. The board discussed the draft audit plan, the pension fund risk register, the LPPA performance report, employer risk and governance, training, and investment performance.

Resources and Performance Cabinet Panel - Thursday, 17 July 2025 10.00 am

The Resources and Performance Cabinet Panel met to discuss the council's financial performance, future plans for adult care services in Stevenage, and performance monitoring reports. The panel unanimously recommended that the cabinet approve the use of £15.7 million of contingency funds, the approval of £19.3 million of carry-forward requests, the release of £5.6 million of reserves, the creation of a £3 million children's social care reform reserve, the total contribution of £5.7 million to the invest to transform reserve, and capital re-programming of £25.7 million. The panel also recommended that the cabinet agree to appropriate land at Pin Green, Stevenage, for a new adult day care centre.

Special Meeting, Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 9 July 2025 8.30 am

The Overview & Scrutiny Committee met to consider a call-in request regarding the Cabinet's decision to market County Hall for alternative uses and relocate democratic meetings. The committee was scheduled to hear statements from Councillor Alexander Curtis, a main signatory of the call-in, and Scott Crudgington, the Deputy Chief Executive & Executive Director of Resources, before opening up the discussion to its members.
