The Audit and Standards Committee met to discuss the external audit plan, the code of conduct for members, the internal audit strategy, information governance, and civil contingencies. The committee approved the recommendation to note the information contained in the Code of Conduct for Members - Report on the Management of Complaints June 2024 - March 2025, and also approved the Proposed Internal Audit Strategy & Plan 2025/26, the Annual Information Governance Report April 2024 - March 2025, and the Annual Civil Contingencies Report April 2024 - March 2025.

Special Committee Re: Appointment of Children and Families Posts - Monday 14th April 2025 9:00am

The Special Committee Re: Appointment of Children and Families Posts met to conduct interviews for three key positions within the Children and Families services. These positions were Deputy Director of Children and Families, Assistant Director for Children in Care and Care Leavers, and Assistant Director for Family Help and Safeguarding. The committee then moved to exclude the public to discuss the exempt minutes of the meeting held on 7 April 2025, and to conduct the interviews.

The Special Committee Re: Appointment of Children and Families Posts met to appoint a chair and then exclude the public to discuss the shortlisting of candidates for several key positions within the Children and Families Directorate. These positions included Deputy Director of Children and Families, Assistant Director for Children in Care and Care Leavers, and Assistant Director for Family Help and Safeguarding. The committee also discussed interim arrangements for wider leadership posts within the directorate.
