The Charities and Trusts Committee manages the County Council's responsibilities as a trustee for charities and trusts registered with the Charity Commission. It approves annual reports, accounts, and regulatory documents, and responds to auditor inquiries. The committee makes decisions regarding the use and disposal of charity property and assets, oversees the management of these entities, and acts as the accountable manager for them. It also maintains a list of these charities and trusts and reports annually to the full County Council on its decisions. Cabinet members are not eligible to serve on this committee.
