The Warwickshire Pension Fund Investment Sub-Committee met on Monday to review the minutes of a prior Local Pension Board meeting, receive a governance report, and discuss the fund's risk policy. The sub-committee also received updates on the fund's investment strategy, climate scenario analysis, carbon footprint, and custodial services. Much of the meeting was held in private due to the discussion of exempt information.

The Audit and Standards Committee met to discuss the Internal Audit Annual Report 2024/25, which gave an overall opinion of substantial assurance on the council's control environment. The committee also reviewed the work programme and future meeting dates, and confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting.

Cabinet

Cabinet - Thursday 12 June 2025 1.45 pm

The Warwickshire County Council Cabinet met for its first meeting of the new administration, addressing key financial reports, education capital programme additions, and procurement approvals. The Cabinet endorsed the Treasury Management and Investment Outturn reports, approved the Financial Outturn Report with a plan to address overspending, and approved additions to the Education Capital Programme for 2025/26.

The Staff and Pensions Committee met to appoint a chair and vice-chair, discuss governance and policy updates, review pension administration activities, and consider employers joining and leaving the pension fund. Councillor Michael Bannister, Portfolio Holder for Customer and Localities, was appointed chair, and Councillor Robert Gisbourne was appointed vice-chair of the committee. The committee approved the report on employers joining and leaving the pension fund.
