Joint Scrutiny Meeting, Adult Social Care and Communities Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 3 March 2026 10.00 am

A joint meeting of the Adult Social Care and Communities Scrutiny Committee and the Gloucestershire Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to discuss the work of the Gloucestershire Health and Wellbeing Board, an overview of the NHS Gloucestershire 5 Year Strategic Plan, and a new healthier weight care pathway for adults. County Council - Wednesday 18 February 2026 10.00 am

The County Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday 18 February 2026 was set to cover a wide range of significant topics, including the adoption of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for 2026/27 to 2029/30, which includes the draft budget and council tax precept for 2026/27. Discussions were also scheduled on corporate parenting, the council's constitution, and updates from scrutiny committees and working groups. Additionally, the meeting agenda included the presentation of the Gloucestershire Pension Fund Annual Report for 2024/25.

Planning Committee - Thursday 29 January 2026 10.00 am

The Planning Committee of Gloucestershire Council met on Thursday 29 January 2026 to discuss two significant planning applications. The committee refused permission for the continued use of land for aggregate recycling at Allstone Sand and Gravel Centre in Myers Road, Gloucester, citing inadequate information, noise, dust, landscape, and cumulative impact concerns. Conversely, the committee resolved to grant planning permission for the demolition of Jordan's Brook House and the construction of a GP surgery, along with outline permission for 10 new dwellings, on North Upton Lane, Gloucester.
