...to request further information on library proposals, express concerns about the timeline, seek to be kept informed on plans for specific libraries, recommend no closures until a full investigation is completed, request training for volunteers, ask for comprehensive impact assessments, note the need to improve the library service, express inability to acknowledge proposals, and request the removal of closure considerations for certain libraries until full information is available.

APP/2024/1362 - Full Planning Permission for Alterations and Extension to Restaurant (Class 3) and Erection of Covered Seating, Area Aspire Restaurant, Seafield Terrace, Portsoy

...to grant Full Planning Permission for alterations and extension to the Aspire Restaurant, including a covered seating area, was delegated to the Head of Planning and Economy subject to appropriate conditions, despite a recommendation for refusal, based on the acceptability of the layout, siting, design, and materials, the lack of objection from Built Heritage, and the proposal's contribution to the viability of a local business and the area's economy.

Historic Environment Team (HET) Strategy 2025 - 2028

From: Banff and Buchan Area Committee - Tuesday, 28th January, 2025 9.30 am - January 28, 2025

To make Area Committee aware of the new Historic Environment Team Strategy 2025-2028. The committee are being asked to provide comment on the content and areas of work proposed over the Strategy period. Comments provided by all six Area Committees will be incorporated into the final document prior to the report being presented to Infrastructure Services Committee (ISC) for final approval.
