Planning Sub-Committee (1) - Tuesday 30th September, 2025 6.30 pm

The Planning Sub-Committee (1) of Westminster Council met on 30 September 2025 to consider several planning applications. The committee, including Councillor Patrick Lilley, Deputy Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Lead Member for Soho and LGBTQ+ Champion, and Councillor Md Shamsed Chowdhury, Deputy Cabinet Member - Streets and Lead Member - Edgware Road Champion, was scheduled to discuss applications ranging from the creation of a new garden at Tate Britain to the erection of extensions for hotel and residential use. Members of the public were welcome to attend the meeting, which was also scheduled to be live-streamed.

Council - Wednesday 10th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The City of Westminster Council met on 10 September 2025, and began by electing Councillor Hamza Taouzzale as Relief Chair for the meeting. Councillors then heard questions from the public on topics ranging from policing to street lighting, and debated issues including pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, homelessness, and street cleaning. The council also received and noted the Annual Report of Policy and Scrutiny Activity in 2024/25 and the Annual Report of the Audit and Performance Committee 2024/25.

Planning Sub-Committee (2) - Tuesday 2nd September, 2025 6.30 pm

The Planning Sub-Committee (2) convened on 2 September 2025, to discuss a range of planning applications and a tree preservation order. The committee granted conditional permission for a capsule hostel at Charles House, 7 Leicester Place, and for demolition and extension works at 103 Clifton Hill. They also chose not to confirm a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) for a tree at 51 Hamilton Terrace. However, the committee refused permission for a roof extension at 9 Churton Place.

The Planning Sub-Committee (1) of Westminster Council convened on Tuesday, 5 August 2025, to discuss several planning applications and a tree preservation order. The committee approved a new public realm guidance document, allocated funding for improvements to Maida Hill Market, and made decisions on planning applications for Charles Lane, Gloucester Terrace and Caroline Terrace. Additionally, they considered a Tree Preservation Order for a London plane tree on Hamilton Terrace.

Council - Wednesday 25th June, 2025 7.00 pm

The Westminster City Council meeting included a tribute to former Councillor Nikki Aiken, presentations from the public, questions to the cabinet, and debates on housing and private renters. Councillors voted to approve constitutional changes and amend the members' allowance scheme.
