The Strategic Planning Committee of Wiltshire Council met on 23 September 2025, to discuss planning appeals, updates, and applications. The committee approved an outline planning application for land west of Marlborough Road in Royal Wootton Bassett, but refused an application for land south of Snarlton Farm in Melksham. A decision on an outline application for land at Maxcroft Farm, Hilperton was deferred.

Bradford on Avon Area Board - Wednesday 10 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Bradford on Avon Area Board met to discuss community grants, local highway improvements, and updates from partner organisations. The board considered grant applications for Age UK Wiltshire and Mighty Girls CIC, and received updates from the Police and Crime Commissioner, Wiltshire Police, Community First, and other local groups. They also reviewed the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG) recommendations and discussed ongoing projects.

Health Select Committee - Tuesday 9 September 2025 10.30 am

The Wiltshire Council Health Select Committee met to discuss several key issues, including updates on the Integrated Community Based Care contract, the implementation of the dementia strategy, and the future commissioning of community-based services. The committee also addressed public questions about NHS privatisation and the role of Integrated Care Boards[^2] (ICBs).

Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 3 September 2025 10.30 am

Extraordinary meeting, Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 5 August 2025 10.30 am

The Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) met to discuss two planning applications. Outline permission for 300 homes south of Snarlton Farm in Melksham was refused due to conflict with the Wiltshire Core Strategy and the Joint Melksham Neighbourhood Plan. Outline permission was granted for 95 dwellings west of Marlborough Road in Royal Wootton Bassett, subject to a Section 106 agreement[^2] and planning conditions.
