At the annual meeting of the Westminster City Council, Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg was elected as the new Lord Mayor, succeeding Councillor Robert Rigby. The council also approved changes to the Procurement Code and confirmed the allocation of places on standing committees.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 15th April, 2025 6.30 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee of Westminster Council met on 15 April 2025 to discuss planning applications. The committee voted to enter into a Heritage Partnership Agreement with the Howard de Walden Estate and granted conditional permission for alterations to external plant equipment at West End House, 91 - 92 Dean Street.

Planning Sub-Committee (2) - Tuesday 18th March, 2025 6.30 pm

The meeting of the Planning Sub-Committee (2) will consider six planning applications covering a range of proposals, including the change of use of a commercial unit, the excavation of basements and associated works, and an application to approve details of an access route to a waste refuse store.

Young People, Learning and Employment Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Monday 10th March, 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting will consider an Ofsted report that reviewed the effectiveness of the council's children's services. The committee will also discuss the council's plans for its libraries and archives and examine the strategic plan for the Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES).

Council - Wednesday 5th March, 2025 7.00 pm

The meeting was dominated by a debate about the council's proposed budget for 2025-26. The budget, which includes a 4.99% increase in council tax, was approved despite opposition amendments calling for a smaller council tax increase.
