These extensions ensure continued gas servicing and maintenance for residents, while the council completes a full procurement exercise for long-term contracts.

Haringey Council's cabinet approved a range of measures at its meeting, including new housing developments, a new tenancy strategy, and a procurement for print and post services. Councillors also discussed funding affordable housing through long-term investment, and the demolition of existing buildings on the Broadwater Farm estate.

Extensive Voids Phase 1 and Turner Avenue, Cabinet Member Signing - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 12.30 pm

In a meeting of the Cabinet Member Signing, Haringey Council's Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning (Deputy Leader), Councillor Sarah Williams, approved contracts for the refurbishment of void properties and external works to the Turner Avenue Estate. The decisions aim to bring homes up to the Decent Homes Standard[^2], increase housing supply, and improve energy efficiency. Councillor Williams also agreed that increased costs associated with works on the Turner Avenue Estate would not be passed on to leaseholders.
