The Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee of Kent Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, 4th December 2025, to discuss several key healthcare issues affecting the Kent and Medway area. These include an update from the Chief Executive of NHS Kent and Medway, the relocation of the Prosthetic Limb Service, and the Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust's response to a Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. The committee will also consider the Healthwatch Kent Annual Report 2024-25.

Adult Social Care and Public Health Cabinet Committee - Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 2.00 pm

The Adult Social Care and Public Health Cabinet Committee were scheduled to meet on Wednesday 12th November 2025 to discuss a range of issues, including the recommissioning of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services, the Adult Social Care Operational Pressures Escalation Plan, and an Accommodation Market Position Statement. The committee was also scheduled to receive verbal updates and consider performance data.

County Council - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 10.00 am

Kent County Council (KCC) met to discuss local government reorganisation, the council's strategic direction, and pressing issues such as social care funding and NHS pressures. The council approved its strategic statement, Reforming Kent 2025-2028, and debated a motion on the NHS and social care crisis, but did not vote on KCC's strategic business case for local government reorganisation in Kent and Medway.

Regulation Committee - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 2.00 pm

The Regulation Committee convened to discuss public rights of way and planning enforcement. The committee noted a report on the work of the Public Rights of Way and Access Service, including challenges posed by application backlogs, and also reviewed ongoing planning enforcement cases, which were discussed in detail in a closed session due to confidentiality. Councillor Maxine Fothergill was elected as chair of the committee, and Mrs Bridget Porter was elected as vice chair.
