Sustainable Development Select Committee - Thursday, 14th November, 2024 7.00 pm
The Sustainable Development Select Committee will be provided with an update on spending cuts across the council, an update on proposals to increase revenue from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), and an update on the ongoing work to improve active travel across the borough.
Public Transport Liaison Forum - Thursday, 3rd October, 2024 7.00 pm
This meeting was scheduled to receive a presentation from Southeastern about the usage of their services, and their plans to improve them. The meeting was also scheduled to include a question and answer session where local councillors asked questions about public transport to representatives of Transport for London (TfL), Southeastern, GTR, and Network Rail.
Council - Wednesday, 2nd October, 2024 7.30 pm
The most significant item included on the agenda for this meeting of the full council was a report on the final outturn position of the treasury management activities for the 2023/24 financial year, and the mid-year review of the 2024/25 financial year. In addition to this, the Mayor was scheduled to make a number of announcements. There were no petitions for debate, and no motions submitted by councillors.
Pensions Investment Committee - Thursday, 19th September, 2024 7.00 pm
The Committee discussed a number of issues in a closed session, including a quarterly investment monitoring report, a general report, and reports on pooling considerations, climate risk and net zero, and engagement policy. The committee also noted the minutes of the previous meeting on the 16th of November 2023.
Sustainable Development Select Committee - Tuesday, 10th September, 2024 7.00 pm
The committee discussed progress with the Air Quality Action Plan 2022-2027, the Lewisham Town Centre Improvements Programme and the committee's future work programme. The committee made several recommendations relating to these issues, including that officers discuss with private businesses raising awareness of car idling, that the accessibility of air quality data on the council website should be improved, that discussions be held with Transport for London (TfL) to consider if bus movements can be altered to support sustainable transport in the town centre, and that the committee receive further information about a licensing review.
