The Appointments and Disciplinary Committee met to discuss the extension of the term of the Independent Chair of the Audit and Governance Committee, and to agree the salary packages for four director posts. The committee agreed to recommend to full council that the term of Dr Olu Olasodi as chair of the Audit and Governance Committee be extended for a further two years. They also approved the salary packages and shortlisting processes for the Director of Property, Procurement and Capital, the Director of Planning and Sustainable Regeneration, the Director of Streets and Environment, and the Director of Assets and Repairs.
Ethics Committee - Wednesday, 9th July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Croydon Council Ethics Committee met on 9 July 2025 to discuss revisions to the members' code of conduct, member training and development, and a review of ethics complaints. The committee was also scheduled to discuss recent developments in ethical standards and its work programme.
General Purposes Committee - Monday, 9th June, 2025 6.30 pm
The General Purposes Committee met to discuss the use of investigatory powers, and to review and update the council's tender and contract regulations in light of new legislation. The committee agreed to recommend the adoption of the proposed contract standing orders to the Full Council. They also reviewed the political balance of the General Purposes Urgency Sub-Committee and made appointments to it.
