The Employment Committee of Hertfordshire Council met on 14 August 2025 to discuss and approve the salary review for the chief executive, executive directors, directors, and heads of service. The committee agreed to increase all pay points on relevant job family levels for executive directors in line with the National Joint Council (NJC) pay award for April 2025 and recommended the same for directors and heads of service. They also agreed to increase all pay points on the relevant job family level for the chief executive by the same value as agreed for the other senior managers.

The Employment Committee of Hertfordshire County Council met on 30 July 2025 to discuss the 2025 pay review, and the recruitment process for the Director of Adult Care Services. The committee delegated authority to the Chief Executive Officer to manage the recruitment and appointment of both a temporary interim and permanent Director of Adult Social Care (DAS). The minutes from the meeting held on 29 November 2024 were approved.

County Council - Tuesday, 22 July 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including political proportionality, traffic congestion, youth justice, and local government reorganisation, and ultimately voted to continue exploring options for local government reorganisation, while also agreeing to re-establish a youth parliament. The council also paid tribute to former Councillor Alan Plancy, MBE, who recently passed away.

The Hertfordshire Growth Board met to elect a new chair and vice-chairs, endorse the Hertfordshire Local Retrofit Strategy, and receive an update on the Growth Board's advocacy strategy. Mayor Peter Taylor, Mayor of Watford Borough Council, was elected as the new chair of the board, with Councillor Jeremy Newmark, Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council, and Councillor Richard Henry, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council, elected as vice-chairs. The board endorsed the Hertfordshire Local Retrofit Strategy and noted the progress made in the board's advocacy efforts.
