The Cabinet of Cornwall Council approved the Corporate Parenting Strategy on 17/12/2025. The strategy, covering the next three years, was approved with two recommendations. The decision recognised the role of all councillors as Corporate Parents.

...to approve the Cornwall Good Growth Plan 2024-35 Defence Sector Addendum, subject to suggestions made during the meeting, following the increased defence focus of the UK Industrial Strategy.

...the Cornwall Growth Board supported the development of a Cornwall International Strategy, endorsed Global Cornish as the Cornwall Diaspora Strategy, and agreed to develop an options paper for setting up Global Cornish as an external entity.

...to address concerns and investigate various issues including Callywith College's bus contract safety, the use of rubber crumb in the Truro Sports Hub, recognition of Cornwall Housing tenants who maintain their properties well, sharing information about the house building target, and raising the matter of puberty blocker trials at the Corporate Parenting Board.

...to address questions from the public, the council received six questions, approved recommendations to send written replies to the questioners, and allocated thirty minutes for questions and supplementary questions from members and the public.
