The Committee noted the 2024-25 Pay Policy Statement, and progress made in implementing the recommendations from the Local Government Association's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion peer review, and the Council's own reviews of the experiences of disabled, ethnically diverse and LGBTQ+ employees at Surrey County Council.

The minutes from the meeting held on the 20th of March were approved without discussion. The Committee had no questions to answer from members of the public. There were no open actions from previous meetings.

This meeting was scheduled to discuss the recommissioning of Children's Community Health Services and to note any other business.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 23 July 2024 2.00 pm

Surrey County Council’s Cabinet met on the 23rd of July 2024 and made a number of decisions, including approving plans to let out one of the council’s former offices at Consort House, Redhill, approving the procurement process for a new contract for the delivery of Children’s Community Health Services across Surrey, and approving a new Road Safety Strategy including plans to introduce more 20mph zones across the County.

The People, Performance and Development committee met to discuss staffing matters, including a question about senior management numbers and the process for approving policies that affect staff. The committee noted the contents of the action review and forward work programme.
