Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Thursday 10 July 2025 7:30 pm

The Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel met to review Kingston's Adult Community Health Services, receiving an update on public health matters and discussing future work plans. The panel reviewed the plans for standardisation and developments in line with the 'left shift' to community based care. Councillors requested more information on the Connected Kingston website, and discussed how to involve the neighbourhood system and residents in health service changes.

Council - Tuesday 8 July 2025 7:30 pm

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Council met to debate petitions regarding parking charges and pension fund investments, as well as to discuss a motion on welfare reform. Councillors agreed to establish a cross-party task force to review pension fund investments and also voted to campaign against changes to disability benefits. The council also formally recognised John Azar OBE, for being admitted to the status of Honorary Freeman of the Royal Borough.

Audit, Governance and Standards Committee - Wednesday 25 June 2025 7:30 pm

The Audit, Governance and Standards Committee met to discuss the audit plans for the council and pension fund accounts, the annual internal audit report, the annual treasury management report, and the member code of conduct complaints annual report. The committee noted the external auditors' plans for the 2024/25 statement of accounts and pension fund accounts, the annual internal audit report, and the treasury management annual report. The committee also received information on the member code of conduct complaints.

People Committee - Tuesday 17 June 2025 7:30 pm

The People Committee convened to discuss several key issues, including an update on the SEND Futures plan, the approval of a healthier advertising policy, and the extension of adult social care passenger transport provision. Councillors also reviewed and approved updates to the Cambridge Road Estate project, the annual housing landlord complaints report, and the housing resident engagement strategy.
