The Board noted the contents of all of the reports that were on the agenda. It was agreed that the proposed date for the next meeting would remain unchanged: 23 May 2025. The Chair agreed to recommend the Surrey Pension Team dashboard for use as an example of good dashboard design. It was confirmed there were still outstanding training notifications that needed to be returned to the Governance Manager.

The Surrey Local Pension Board noted the contents of all of the reports in the meeting pack, and made two recommendations to the Pension Fund Committee; that it review the risk score and mitigation of the risk of ongoing issues stemming from the implementation of the MySurrey financial system, and that it considers the Surrey Pension Team's draft business continuity plan.

The meeting covered routine updates on the activities of the Surrey Pension Fund, including the performance of investment managers and the Local Pension Board, the recent change programme and the adoption of an updated responsible investment policy. Members also discussed the implications of a recent Supreme Court ruling on fossil fuel companies, the performance of equity investments and the forward programme of work.

The Board noted the Surrey Pension Team Overview - Quarter 4 and the Change Programme Update - Quarter 4. They also noted the Administration Performance Report and Update - 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2024, the Internal Audit Progress Report - Quarter 4, the Internal Audit Strategy and Annual Plan 2024/25, the External Audit Update and the LGPS Update. They noted the Glossary, Action Tracker & Forward Plan and the Summary of the Pension Fund Committee meeting of 22 March 2024, but made no recommendations to the Pension Fund Committee on either. The Board noted both the Business Continuity Plan-Progress Update and the Update on Cyber Security. Finally, the Board noted the Risk Register Update 2023/24 Quarter 4, but recommended that the Pension Fund Committee review the risk score and mitigation for risk 16, which relates to the ongoing implementation of the MySurrey system.
