Council - Thursday, 19 February 2026 - 10.00 am

North Northamptonshire Council convened for a Budget Council meeting on Thursday, 19 February 2026, where the primary focus was the approval of the General Fund Final Budget for 2026-27, the Medium-Term Financial Plan, and the Capital Programme. Key decisions included the setting of Council Tax levels, with an approved increase of 2.99% for the core council tax and an additional 2% for the Adult Social Care precept, resulting in an average Band D Council Tax of £1,918.23. The Housing Revenue Account Budget for 2026/27 was also approved, including a 4.8% increase in dwelling rents.

Extraordinary Council, Council - Thursday 22nd January, 2026 6.00 pm

The Council of North Northamptonshire Council met on Thursday 22 January 2026, approving recommendations from a Corporate Peer Challenge progress review, a revised scheme for councillors' allowances, and the municipal timetable for 2026/27. The council also approved changes to its planning committee arrangements.

Council - Thursday 11th December, 2025 6.00 pm

During the meeting of North Northamptonshire Council, held on 11 December 2025, councillors approved the Corporate Parenting Board Annual Report 2024-25, the Northamptonshire Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and the terms of reference for a Community Governance Review. They also agreed to introduce council tax premiums for long-term empty properties and second homes, and set the council tax base for 2026/27.

Children's, Young Persons & Education Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 25th November, 2025 7.00 pm

The Children's, Young Persons & Education Scrutiny Committee met to discuss educational outcomes, inclusion and partnerships, and the Virtual School Head Annual Report. The committee approved recommendations related to each of these topics, including a request for regular updates on the progress of the Family Hubs programme and on inclusion outcomes. The committee also noted the work programme for the coming year.
