About

The Aberdeen City Region Deal Joint Committee is a joint body established by Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council to oversee and support the implementation of the Aberdeen City Region Deal. It approves business cases for City Region Deal projects, monitors their progress, and makes recommendations to the constituent authorities and Opportunity North East (ONE).

The committee also approves overall programme funding and operational expenditure within agreed budgets. It receives updates from the UK and Scottish Governments and provides feedback on the deal's implementation and associated activities. The committee's terms of reference are reviewed to ensure accountability for public funds.
