About

The Licensing Committee is responsible for all licensing matters in Aberdeen City under various Acts, excluding those specifically assigned to the Licensing Board or other committees. It determines applications for granting, renewing, revoking, varying, or suspending licences.

This includes a wide range of licences such as those for metal dealers, houses in multiple occupation, indoor sports entertainment, knife dealers, skin piercing, taxis, short-term lets, public entertainment, late-night catering, and street traders. The committee also handles landlord registrations, cinema and theatre licences, and permissions for public collections and processions.
