About

The Pensions Committee and Pension Board is responsible for managing Aberdeen City Council's role as the administering authority for the North East Scotland Pension Fund. It oversees the investment of the Fund in line with relevant legislation and works with the Pension Board on compliance matters.

The committee approves the Funding Strategy Statement, appoints or removes Fund Managers, and approves the Fund's budget and expenditure. It ensures effective financial control and risk management, scrutinises audit reports, and approves the Annual Report and Accounts. The committee also ensures compliance with pension regulations and scrutinises the performance of Fund Managers, including environmental, social, and governance aspects.
