The Aberdeen City Council Finance and Resources Committee welcomed the opportunity to host the World Rally Championships in North East Scotland on 06 August 2025. The committee instructed the Chief Officer - City Development & Regeneration to prepare a detailed project proposal, including costings and partnership feedback, and to report back in November. The committee also delegated authority to the Chief Officer - City Development & Regeneration, in consultation with Co-leaders, to approve international travel for a scoping visit to a World Rally Championship event.
