The Education and Children's Services Committee of Aberdeen City Council decided to note that Victorian schools have been assessed for wheelchair accessibility. They instructed the Chief Officer – Corporate Landlord to ensure future reviews of school buildings include accessibility assessments for all disabilities. The committee also noted updates to the Action Plan and instructed the Chief Officer – Corporate Landlord to carry out an options appraisal for interim arrangements for a new school at Bucksburn/Newhills, undertake a feasibility study for a new primary school at Grandhome, develop proposals for future asset reviews, and engage with the public on establishing a Catholic secondary school.
