About

The Joint Strategic Committee is responsible for the strategic management and direction of services shared between Adur and Worthing Councils, unless specific executive functions are reserved for individual councils. It determines matters relating to these executive functions, sets strategic targets for shared services, and agrees draft revenue and capital budgets for their implementation. The committee also decides on significant changes to the nature of services delivered to the public in either council area and receives reports on executive functions. Its specific delegated responsibilities are detailed in the Joint Committee Agreement of each council's constitution.
