To award contract to Solar Vision Lighting Technologies Limited

Reasons for the decision

The Solar Lighting Project focuses on the installation of 12x solar lighting columns along the Promenade in Bognor Regis, from Gloucester Road to Longbrook. This area is currently unlit and has been raised as an area of focus. Mains power is cost prohibitive, with solar being a preferred option.

This is a partnership funded project with contributions from other local partners, to improve safety for residents and visitors.

Three quotes were obtained, with a slight amendment to the scope to avoid on/off lighting – with a preference for dimming and re-activation of light.
