Reasons for the decision

The tenancy has a long history of rent arrears, breaches of payment arrangements and enforcement action. Current arrears and costs total £2,837.15. An outright possession order was granted forthwith by the High Court on 11 May 2026 with enforcement through the High Court. Previous payment agreements, possession proceedings, eviction warrants and stay hearings have failed to secure sustained compliance. The tenant has not engaged with contact attempts and no relevant support referrals are currently active. The council has exhausted reasonable efforts to recover the debt and sustain the tenancy and eviction is now considered appropriate to protect the council's interests and recover possession of the property.
