Decision

To instruct legal services to prepare and complete a temporary occupation licence for the Littlehampton Bonfire Society to occupy part of East Green Car Park, as part of their bonfire night preparations.

Reasons for the decision

This is the most appropriate way to facilitate the community event, clarify responsibilities, control use of the site and its safe reinstatement.

Alternative options considered

No licence – limited controls and significant risk.
Refuse use of the land – would prevent the event taking place.
