Reasons for the decision

The decision was made to ensure that Arun District Council complies with the Rent Standard set by the Regulator of Social Housing and corrects the errors in rent setting that led to overcharging tenants

Alternative options considered

An alternative option to only correct and refund current tenancies, this was not considered a viable option as would not be fully transparent or good governance.
