The decision is within the delegated authority set out in the Officer Scheme of Delegation for the write-off of current tenant arrears.

Alternative options considered

To continue recovery action and retain the debt on the council's accounts. This option was rejected because the debt was included within a Debt Relief Order and is no longer legally recoverable.
