About
The Appointments Committee is responsible for key decisions regarding senior council staffing. It determines the duties, qualifications, remuneration, and recruitment methods for externally advertised Chief Executive, Director, and Head of Service roles. The committee also handles the shortlisting and interviewing of candidates for these positions.
While the committee makes appointments for most senior roles, it advises the full Council on the appointment of the Chief Executive, Directors, and Heads of Service who also hold the statutory positions of Chief Finance Officer or Monitoring Officer.
