About
The Joint Transportation Board serves as a consultation forum between Kent County Council and Ashford Borough Council on matters concerning highways, road traffic, and public transport. It considers capital and revenue funded works programmes, traffic regulation orders, and street management proposals. The board reviews the progress of works, advises on the prioritisation of future programmes, and receives reports on local transportation needs. Its role is to provide advice on these matters to the relevant Executive.
