About

The Trading and Enterprise Board (TEB) monitors and oversees the council's trading companies on behalf of the Cabinet. It reviews business plans, financial reports, and new business initiatives, with a requirement for approval for contracts exceeding £25,000. The board also assesses risks, approves budgets and capital spending, and recommends decisions on land acquisition, loan agreements, asset transfers, and director appointments to the Cabinet. It acts as the council's shareholder representative, ensuring assets are protected and company governance aligns with council directions.
