The Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) reviews decisions made by Barnsley Council's Cabinet and Executive Officers, acting as a watchdog for the Council's work and performance. It also monitors other local organisations, such as healthcare providers, to support effective local service delivery and safeguard adults and children in the Borough. The Committee can establish smaller 'Task and Finish Groups' to conduct in-depth investigations on specific topics.
