Decision

Approves the renewal of 1,230 Microsoft Copilot
licences for a further 12-month period commencing 1 July 2025,
at a total cost of £295,000, funded corporately for the next 12
months.
Note the strategic alignment of Copilot with the
Council’s corporate priorities, particularly under the
“Enabling Barnsley” theme, and its role in supporting
productivity, innovation and workforce wellbeing.
Endorse the continued integration of Copilot into service
delivery and transformation programmes, enabling staff to work more
efficiently and effectively across all Directorates.
Support the development of a communications plan to
continue to promote Copilot usage and share best practice across
the organisation.
