Purpose

To provide a
progress update on the Plan
for Neighbourhoods investment
programme, renamed by the Government
to the Pride in Place Programme. 
 
To update
the delegations of authority for the Pride in
Place investment programme (Phase 1) due to changes in
scope and delivery timeline. 

Decision

RESOLVED
that Cabinet:-
 
(i)           
Note the continuation of the Barnsley Town Board as
the consultative body for the Pride in Place investment programme
(Phase 1);

 
(ii)         
Note the continuation of the geographical boundary
of the Pride in Place investment programme (Phase 1) as the
Barnsley Urban Area;
 
(iii)        
Update the delegations of authority to the Director
of Finance to accept £19.087 million funding from the
Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for the Pride
in Place investment programme (Phase 1) over the next 10 years;
and
 
(iv)        
Update the delegations of authority to the Executive
Director for Growth & Sustainability to approve the Pride in
Place Plan, including periodic investment plans over the next 10
years, in consultation with the Barnsley Town Board.
