Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval for a strategic AP development plan that will deliver a new model of alternative provision in Barnsley.

Decision

That Cabinet Spokesperson:

1. Approve the development of a strategic partnership with Delta Academies Trust to deliver additional Alternative Provision capacity in Barnsley.
2. Delegate authority to the Executive Director of Children's Services, in consultation with Legal, Finance and Procurement Services, to finalise the partnership and governance arrangements.
