Purpose

Report is to set out the proposal for delivery of the savings aligned to Theme 2 of the medium-term financial strategy, including a request for investment to modernise customer contact.

Decision

RESOLVED That Cabinet:-

1. Approve the Theme 2 MTFS Innovation and AI Plan to deliver £1.865M efficiencies.
2. Approve £445,500 one-off investment for Customer Contact as a Service.
3. Approve Network Optimisation procurement within existing resource envelopes.
4. Note any unfunded pressure or savings change will return through governance.
5. Endorse wider organisational adoption of scalable solutions, subject to benefits validation and governance.
6. Delegate authority to the Executive Director Core Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member Core Services, Section 151 Officer and Monitoring Officer, to take all necessary steps to ensure successful delivery of the approved plan.
