Purpose
To consider a nomination received from The Living God Church to list Trinity Methodist Church as an Asset of Community Value.
Decision
To add Trinity Methodist Church to the Council’s list of Assets of Community Value
Reasons for the decision
The nomination of Trinity Methodist Church meets the criteria to be listed as an Asset of Community Value under the legislation relating to Community Right to Bid, in that:
· The nominating organisation (The Living God Church) is a qualifying nominator with a local connection under Section 86D(2) of the EDCEA 2026.
· The asset was well used by a broad spectrum of the local community and offered a range of opportunities for social interaction and community engagement in in the recent past.
· It is realistic to think that in the next 5 years there could be non-ancillary use of the Asset that would further (whether or not in the same way as before) the social wellbeing or social interests of the local community.
Alternative options considered
None – the nomination meets the criteria to be listed as an Asset of Community Value
