Housing Scrutiny Sub-Committee

The Housing Scrutiny Sub-Committee reviews and scrutinises the Council's housing functions, fulfilling its statutory overview and scrutiny duties for this area. It examines decisions and actions related to housing, advises the Cabinet on key housing issues, and makes recommendations for service improvements. The committee also considers housing matters affecting the Bassetlaw area and its residents, including issues raised by tenant and resident associations or the public. It holds service providers accountable for performance and organises an annual work programme to identify topics for scrutiny, reporting its findings annually to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
