The Cabinet is the lead executive decision-making body for Bath and North East Somerset Council, responsible for implementing major policies and setting new service policies. Decisions can be made collectively by the Cabinet, which consists of the Leader and nine portfolio-holding Cabinet Members, or individually by Cabinet Members. These decisions are subject to scrutiny by overview and scrutiny bodies, individual councillors, and the public. The Cabinet publishes a Forward Plan detailing upcoming key decisions, defined as those with significant financial or community impact, and also manages individual member decisions through a weekly list process.
