Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is a statutory body responsible for the council's licensing functions, excluding the approval of licensing policy which rests with the Cabinet Member for Planning & Licensing or the full Council where required by law. The committee must consider the council's Licensing Statement, the Gambling Act Statement of Principles , and any other relevant policies, guidance from the Secretary of State, and the Council's Corporate Plan. A sub-committee has been appointed to act as a Hearing Panel.
