Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is a statutory body responsible for the council's licensing functions, excluding the approval of licensing policy which rests with the Cabinet Member for Planning & Licensing or the full Council where required by law. The committee must consider the council's Licensing Statement, the Gambling Act Statement of Principles, and any other relevant policies, guidance from the Secretary of State, and the Council's Corporate Plan. A sub-committee has been appointed to act as a Hearing Panel.
