Purpose

Provide Grant Funding to Paulton Rovers to enable delivery of LED Floodlight upgrade. The 40 year old system needs to be upgraded to reach required Lux levels and reduce energy use/costs. This supports the Council Corporate Strategy of tackling the climate and nature emergency. The new lighting system will also improve provision for activity on the site which will impact positively on the communities health & wellbeing.

Decision

To fully approve £10,400 of capital budget, fully funded by CIL .

Alternative options considered

Do nothing - If nothing was done then the old lights could be a health and safety issue. Without lights the club could not provide activities for the community. Project results in reduced energy costs and carbon emissions.
