Purpose

It has become apparent that the 'Waste' function is not listed in the list of responsibilities of this Policy Development & Scrutiny Panel, although it comes under the umbrella of Neighbourhood & Environmental Services, so by implication is already covered. It's considered helpful to explicitly include this function into the Panel's remit.

The PDS Chairs & Vice Chairs' meeting has approved this course of action at its meeting on 2nd October 2023.

Decision

To add 'Waste' into the list of responsibilities of the Climate Emergency & Sustainability Policy Development & Scrutiny Panel, which feature in the Terms of Reference; part of the Constitution (section 2.16.2).

This decision is made by the Monitoring Officer, as part of his power to make minor changes to the Constitution (section 1.13).
