Purpose

In September 2024 Cabinet agreed to reset the
Local Plan in light of government changes to national policy and a
revised housing need figure. Resetting the Local Plan necessitated
changes to the Local Plan preparation programme. Delegated
authority was granted by Cabinet to Sophie Broadfield, Executive
Director of Sustainable Communities, in consultation with Cllr Matt
McCabe to agree changes to the Local Development Scheme (LDS)
reflecting the amended Local Plan programme.

Substantive changes were made to the Local Development Scheme in
December 2024 reflecting the amended Local Plan programme. In light
of changes to Local Plan engagement methods/reach related to
resetting the Local Plan a further minor revision needs to be made
to the Local Plan programme which needs to be reflected in the LDS.
This minor change has been agreed under delegated authority
arrangements outlined above.

Decision

Agreed that minor revisions be made to the LDS
which was published in December 2024 to reflect a minor change to
the reset Local Plan preparation programme.
